Happy Thanksgiving!

I am so blessed to be able to have a couple of days off, and will be visiting with family and gathering around a table WAY too full of food (knowing the way my mom likes to prepare enough food to last a month). As far as myself, I know that I am overwhelmed with undeserved blessings and abundant goodness everyday, and not just on Thanksgiving. Below are listed just a few of those gifts.

Hopefully you have time to reflect on what you are thankful for during the holiday season. Enjoy the weekend, family, friends, laughter, and the kind of togetherness that warms the soul.

and, of course……

Go Packers! :)

Dilonna | Lifestyle Portrait Preview

Dilonna happens to be a basketball star at her high school, and she has a beautiful personality to boot. It was so nice meeting her, and she displayed her athleticism as she was unafraid to climb steep hills and rocks at our session today! Also, I just have to mention her amazing Nike shoes, they were one of the hottest pairs of shoes I’ve seen in a long time!

Here is a little preview of her senior session. Check out that game face.  —–>

Johnson Family Preview

Today I met with the Johnson family at a local park, and were they ever an entertaining bunch! I love when I get to do family sessions, to see the unique relationships between parents and their children and how siblings get along, too. The Johnson’s seem like the type of family I’d like to have as next-door neighbors :)

Jacquie + Mitch | Milwaukee Engagement

Smiles. It might be cheesy to say, but the common theme in all of Mitch and Jacquie’s photos is their big smiles. They weren’t just smiling for the camera, they were radiating love from deep down inside. So happy and content in life knowing that they have each other. No matter what. Jacquie and Mitch, if you are this happy after many years of dating, just imagine how overjoyed you will be once you get to say “I do” next September! (I’m pretty sure I will have a huge grin on my face too, especially if we find half as many colorful trees for your wedding as we did for your engagement photos.)

Congratulations to you both, and I hope that you have many exciting moments in these months leading up to your wedding. I cannot express how thankful I am that you chose me as your photographer!

Here are a few more from their session in Milwaukee :)

Meghan + Ron | Scandinavia Wedding

I grew up down the street from Meghan, and we didn’t exactly play with dolls or makeup as kids. No, we were the type of kids who preferred to climb trees and make mudpies instead. And as soon as I met Ron, I understood why Meghan fell head over heels for him because he is such a down-to-earth guy who fits her personality perfectly. With style and camouflage to spare!

So when Meghan asked me to be her photographer, I had a feeling that her wedding would be quite the non-fuss affair. It was a family-filled, memorable day, and what better kind of day could any couple ask for? Thank you, Ron and Meghan, for asking me to join in the fun and snap some photos along the way. Congratulations on your marriage!

A big shout-out to the entertainment team at CJ-the-DJ for the music and humor that kept the party going and the guests dancing! The reception was held at the Waupaca Ale House.

And now, what you’ve all been waiting for………..
