DeCleene Family {Lifestyle Family Photographer}

The DeCleene family… get yourselves prepared for an ADORABLE couple and their equally cute 6 month-old son Willem  :)  Thank you so much for asking me to photograph your family, I felt like it was more of a play-date than actual work! You helped me realize how much I love capturing beautiful family relationships, and I hope to do more family sessions in the future!

Theresa + Kelsey {Clintonville Wedding Photographer}

Chance of showers. I checked the radar again, a few minutes later, hoping for some brighter news. It was the day of Theresa and Kelsey’s outdoor wedding at Arbor View Gardens, and even though there was a possibility that it would rain I knew that nothing could dampen the lovely day that was about to unfold. Things went surprisingly smooth because the rain held off as the bridal party was arriving and getting safely tucked into the beautiful garden setting, hidden from guests, and that’s when the rain started to fall. Nothing horrific, but enough to collect puddles on chairs and make the groomsmen run around with umbrellas. But, just as quickly as it had started, the rain stopped about 5 minutes before the ceremony and I breathed a sigh of relief!! The ceremony was beautiful, the groom’s reaction unforgettable, and the bride’s family provided some wonderful music as Theresa and Kelsey were married. In the garden and among close family and friends.

DIY must run in this beautiful, talented family, as most of what you are about to see was made by Theresa and Kelsey’s families – so many personal touches and everything turned out phenomenal!! The reception was held at Masons’ Ridge in Clintonville, and Theresa and her DIY helpers collected 24 vintage watering cans to decorate the tables, as well as other vintage gardening tools, and wheelbarrow for cards, and even crafted a dessert station for guests to fix their own ice cream sundaes! Theresa and Kelsey, you had such a gorgeous wedding, unique to you, and I was absolutely honored that you asked to me photograph your wedding day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites below!

Kate {Lifestyle Senior Preview}

Kate and I met out at Trimborn Farm today for some senior photos, and I had SUCH a hard time narrowing down the images to post a couple for her preview – she was a natural in front of the camera!! Though she laughed when I asked if she had modeled before, she was willing to explore the location and rocked each and every adorable outfit she brought! A big thanks to her family, especially her mom Pattie, who came along to support her (and make her do her crazy eyebrow face – more to come on that later…just kidding Kate!). Enjoy the gorgeousness :)

Jen + Nate {Appleton Wedding Photographer}

They met, fell in love, and got engaged – but their story is totally unique to them because much of their relationship happened on the volleyball court! Yes, they met playing on a volleyball team, got to know each other, and eventually Nate even proposed on a volleyball court (with an adorable, romantic surprise that caught Jen completely off-guard, I might add). It’s obvious that these two love volleyball, but not nearly as much as they love each other  ;).

I felt so honored to be able to spend they day with Jen + Nate and their families, and document one of the most significant days of their life! Also, I just have to mention that I was given the luxury of having over an hour with the bridal party and Jen and Nate for photos, so I had SO much room for both fun and relaxed shots with them – a photographer’s dream  :).  Thank you so much for giving me so much time to do what I love – you guys were amazing! Congrats again Nate and Jen!!

Tammy + Jesse {Milwaukee Wedding Preview}

At Tammy + Jesse’s wedding yesterday, one of the toasts given was so sweet and such an accurate picture of their relationship that I absolutely have to share it along with these preview images. After meeting Tammy and spending time with her just once, Jesse’s friends were so surprised that she was not quiet and shy as many girls might be when they meet a guy’s friends. She was friendly, outgoing, and fit in right away! That definitely sounds like Tammy; she stands out as beautiful and fun-loving  :). Jesse, you have such a big heart, and I know that you and Tammy share a very special bond – and now that you are officially Mr. and Mrs. that bond will grow even stronger as time passes and your family grows! Congratulations to you both, and I was so honored that you asked me to photograph your wedding. I could not be happier for the two of you!!
