Jackie + Taylor // Elegant Wedding at The Legend at Merrill Hills // Milwaukee Wedding

January 6, 2015

Jackie + Taylor are the kind of couple you will meet and instantly feel as if you’ve befriended them. They both have such warm personalities, and when Jackie smiles you have no choice but to break into a huge grin yourself. She is a talented graphic designer, Elle Goulding enthusiast, knows how to make Taylor laugh, and has the BEST sense of style. Taylor is creative as well, and creates his own craft cocktails for fun for them both to sample. You two are welcome to visit me any time!

One of the most meaningful things about their wedding day was during the toasts in the evening, when Jackie’s dad got a hold of the microphone and made everyone cry. I mean everyone. Then a little comic relief came in the form of a lighthearted and funny poem, recited (and revised) by her grandfather. Speeches are always some of my favorite moments of the day, I get to hear a couple’s story told from several different perspectives, and I am never left without a huge smile and some happy tears. Jackie + Taylor put SO much thought into their day from creating the invitations, to dreaming up signature cocktail recipes, selecting gold accents to tie everything together, and collecting and potting succulents for each and every one of their guests – they paid attention to ALL the details. They made sure every guest know how elated J + T were to have them present for their wedding day. Jackie’s mother even hugged me and offered me a gorgeous centerpiece to take home at the end of the night (who, me?!). I don’t know what could be a more thoughtful token of appreciation and love.

Congratulations to you both, and thank you for the HUGE honor of having me document your wedding day! Many years of blessings, delicious cocktails, and of course love to you both!
