Life Lately // May03.06.2015
May brought some unbelievable changes + blessings, though things seemed to move a million miles per hour. Each day was busier than the last, and included being displaced from our rental home, searching for and buying a home, moving, a dear friend’s destination wedding in California, a vacation to San Francisco, Laney’s first birthday, and my first few weddings of 2015. I’m going to be very honest, it was a bit crazy. I was a bit crazy. Some days I felt so overwhelmed that I wasn’t sure what task to tackle first. As a result there are still many unpacked boxes in our new basement, and I’m okay with that for right now.
Thankfully, I had the support and love of my husband and family, and we made it through. To heap even more positivity on that, I also began working with one of my friends, Diana, who is an insightful + inspiring life coach! She has a knack for helping young women entrepreneurs really dig deep, decide what’s working and what’s not in your daily routines, decipher your core values, and really empower you to achieve your personal + career goals. I can’t say enough good things about her, and I’ll be sharing more updates on that front soon.
For this month, my personal goals are going to be to get into a better routine with work/life balance, spend more time outdoors (because, summer) and be more active, and give myself some grace + understanding when my body is just telling me to rest. Wishing you all a wonderful June – bring it on, summer!
